Inside Sales and Mechanics

Heavyquip provides a wide range of popular Undercarriage Components and Repair Parts for use on Dozers, Crawler Loaders, Excavators, Trucks, Wheel Loaders, and other equipment manufactured by Caterpillar, CNH, Deere, Hitachi, Komatsu and many other quality equipment manufacturers.

  • Diagnosing and repairing under carriage, final drive engines, and hydraulics on dozers, loaders and other heavy construction equipment at our facility.
  • Inspects, repairs, and adjusts graders, scrapers, trenching machines, pans, backhoe, and diesel tractors, hydraulic and cable operated attachments, and earth moving bulldozers.
  • Overhauls, adjust, and tunes diesel and gasoline engines; grinds valves; overhauls transmissions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems including (but not limited to) mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
  • Rebuilds and replaces undercarriages; changes tracks, rollers, and frames.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Record work performed, time and materials used for each job and maintain related work logs/records.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of engines, transmissions, chassis, driveline, and body components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, wheels, and undercarriages.

Outside Sales Representatives


      Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for developing relationships with customers and growing accounts in their assigned territory through the presentation and selling of the company’s products to heavy equipment customers.

      This position requires exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described herein and does require routine monthly travel. Sales representatives are charged with the responsibility for assigned territory sales performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Contacts & Visits current and prospective customers, growing market sales and penetration
  • Identifies potential sales opportunities by prospecting, visiting prospects, identifying needs, explaining product details, options, initiates product quotations, follow-up with customer inquiries, answers customer questions, correspondence, resolves customer problems, builds long term customer relationships.
  • Maintains and updates customer database, customer contacts, price levels, reviews / analyzes customer sales reports, identifies and takes appropriate action to grow sales based on related information.
  • Prepares and presents product line information to customers, prepares & presents professional sales presentations to clients.
  • Requires routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers.
  • Responds to customer inquiries, service needs, questions, or complaints regarding products, services, billing issues and deliveries. Coordinates and works with inside sales and order processing groups to achieve desired results.
  • Manages designated territories and customers to maximize our presence in the industry and ensures return business.
  • Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, call reports, travel planners, ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information, and assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years or equivalent experience with the related product lines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organization abilities.
  • Strong selling skills.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong product line knowledge.
  • Sales experience.
  • Knowledge of computer skills and proficient with MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Clean driving record.

Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
