Case® blades can be used for a variety of construction, snow removal and forestry purposes. Blades can be attached to skid steer loaders and other compact machinery to create customized equipment for any number of uses. Similarly, other industrial attachments, like grapples, can be added to accomplish specific tasks. Grapples are claw-like attachments that are often used in logging tasks. Hydraulically powered, grapples use two or more opposing levers to grasp logs or other objects to lift and transport them. Both blades and grapples from Case® are popular industrial products.

The History Behind Case® Blades

Jerome Increase Case founded Case® (formerly known as J.I. CaseCOMPANY) in 1842. This young farmer started the company in Racine, Wisconsin by creating a small, hand-powered wheat threshing machine. He later created the first steam engine used in agricultural industry processes, gas tractors and even a few cars along the way. Case also got involved in state politics as a mayor and state senator in Wisconsin. With this rich American history, the company now stands as a prominent maker of agricultural machinery, including loaders of all types, excavators large and small and forklifts, just to name a few.
